By now, we all know that COVID-19/the Coronavirus has been declared a pandemic. It has dramatically affected all of us, and the news changes daily – even hourly. We want to reassure you that the health and safety of everybody inside and outside SAERTEX have the highest priority for us. We are closely monitoring the situation and want to update you on our business activities as they stand today, MAR 24, 2020:

The spread of the coronavirus has arrived to many countries with SAERTEX^® activities. The health of everybody inside and outside SAERTEX has highest priority for us. We have taken dedicated measures to protect people on the one hand and ensure the delivery situation for our customers on the other hand. This is the status quo on MAR 19, 2020.

SAERTEX multiCom LP is pleased to announce the expansion of its US operations. SAERTEX multiCom plans to invest more than $20 million in a new manufacturing and warehouse facility near its current location in Huntersville, North Carolina. The expansion will retain 34 existing positions and allow SAERTEX multiCom to add 45 new jobs over the next five years.

Due to the current spread of the coronavirus the organizer decided to postpone JEC WORLD 2020.

Bombardier Belfast and SAERTEX^® have reached an agreement to contractually extend their cooperation on the manufacture of lightweight components made of carbon-fiber, non-crimp-fabrics for the Airbus A220 aircraft.

In November 2019, our SAERTEX^® location in India has been certified with two additional certificates according to the management systems ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018.

APQP stands for Advanced Product Quality Planning and originally comes from the automotive industry. The Danish companies in the wind industry have joined forces in 2017 and adapted this methodology to the own requirements.

This year's Christmas SAERTEX^® placed the focus on the new vision "SAERTEX – Innovation for a resource-saving future". Therefore, we largely forwent customer gifts. Instead, we sent our customers a Christmas card with a donation code and a link to a donation page. SAERTEX has donated 15 Euros for each customer and our customers have decided where it goes.

In July 2019, SAERTEX^® acquired one hundred percent of shares in the Bavarian company TK Industries GmbH, further expanding its range of heavy-tow carbon fiber multiaxial fabrics.

In September SAERTEX will be exhibiting worldwide at three composites fairs. We are looking forward to meeting you at our booths.

On Tuesday June 23 the 2^nd public workshop of the FIBRESHIP project took place in La Ciotat, France. In order to show the achievements of this project, a full-scale block of a Fishing Research Vessel was built as a demonstrator. Our customer iXBlue equipped structural parts of this demonstrator with our SAERTEX LEO.

SAERTEX was awarded “Best Global Partner” at the Global Supplier Day of our long-standing customer NORDEX/ACCIONA. The award was granted as the result of the close interlinks between the global SAERTEX production network and the worldwide rotor blade production centers of NORDEX/ACCIONA.

Saerbeck, May 24 2019 – SAERTEX^® is pleased to announce its contribution to the prototype production of a wind turbine blade with probably the longest carbon fiber spar cap made in vacuum infusion technology so far.
