APQP4WIND^TM - SAERTEX INTRODUCES NEW QUALITY STANDARD FOR WIND INDUSTRY

APQP stands for Advanced Product Quality Planning and originally comes from the automotive industry. The Danish companies in the wind industry have joined forces in 2017 and adapted this methodology to the own requirements.

APQP4Wind^TM sets new standards in the cooperation between wind turbine manufacturers and suppliers. The method defines a framework for the qualification of new materials and provides concrete steps for the creation of a project plan. Processes defined in this way ensure optimized quality planning. More and more customers from the wind industry demand the implementation of the APQP4Wind^TM methodology. In order to provide evidence for our global customers, our wind specialists from all SAERTEX production plants came together in Saerbeck and participated in a four-day training course. At the end of the seminar there was a test which all colleagues passed successfully. From now on, we can support our customers worldwide with representatives who master the APQP4Wind^TM requirements – a real plus in cooperation.
