SAERTEX presents three new products for lightweight mobility solutions at Composite Europe 2018
Discover SAERTEX product innovations at Composite Europe 2018. SAERTEX is exhibiting three new material developments for lightweight solutions in the automotive, rail vehicle, and shipbuilding sectors to its visitors at the trade fair.
- Ultra Fatigue UDs are a new development and are intended specially for use with leaf springs in cars, heavy-duty trucks, and light-duty trucks. The non-crimp fabric is 50% lighter than steel and has a significantly longer service life. Compared to standard UD non-crimp fabrics, the material has fatigue properties that are 12 times higher.
- SAERcore LEO is a new fire-protection solution for use with interior components in the rail vehicle sector. Ideal for rapid processing in the RTM process.
- The new SAERTEX LEO COATED FABRIC also features the highest fire-protection rating as defined in EN 45545-2 for use in rail vehicles. Thanks to its integrated fire-protection layer, this multiaxial non-crimp fabric also offers new options for use in shipbuilding, the construction industry, or in the manufacture of battery casings in the e-mobility sector of the automotive industry.
