The tests available are not limited to static ones such as for tensile resistance, bending resistance and ILSS. Material fatigue can also be tested, fibre resin content measured and NCF drapability data ascertained.
German Lloyd has now carried out a further audit to expand the certified range of tests by adding pressure and sheer stress testing. Determining the Poisson ratio, which is an important parameter, was added to the laboratory’s tensile testing capabilities as well. Our SAERTEX test laboratory is currently developing methods of testing to and for further useful standards in the composites field.
