JEC WORLD 2017: SAERTEX SETS ITS SIGHTS ON THE FUTURE

It is only a few days before the JEC World trade show opens its doors in Paris. SAERTEX is again one of the exhibitors at the leading international trade fair for the composites industry which takes place from March 14 to March 16, 2017.

SAERTEX is launching its new campaign "THINK CARBON – MAKE IT WITH SAERTEX" at its 128 m² booth (Hall 5A, Booth No. J6). Using impressive applications from the wind power, aviation, shipbuilding and automotive industries, SAERTEX will demonstrate its trend-setting carbon solutions to trade visitors – and take them on a journey into the future. SAERTEX, the family-owned company , commenced production of carbon non-crimp fabrics (NCFs) in 1990 and received its first qualification for the aviation industry in 1997. Carbon plays a vital key role in many different applications. Compared with steel, carbon is up to 80 percent lighter and offers excellent mechanical properties. The "Vision of the Fjords", a pioneering project from Brødrene Aa, will receive the JEC Innovation Award at the Paris show. In collaboration with its customer Brødrene Aa, SAERTEX takes the prestigious award in the "Better Living" category for the project "Vision of the Fjords, Ship of the Year 2016 in Norway". The official award ceremony takes place in Hall 5A (AGORA) at 5 pm on March 15, 2017.
