Together with the DLR in Stade, project partners SAERTEX and Covestro have set themselves the challenging task of impregnating a 45 m long rotor blade spar cap. The objective of this exercise was to further optimise the interaction between reinforcement materials made of glass and carbon fibres, composite core materials, matrix systems and production technology.
