INNOVATION FOR A RESOURCE-SAVING FUTURE

Sustainable engineering. The goal for the future. The main focus here is on minimizing the weight and maximizing the service life of components. In lightweight construction with SAERTEX materials, both requirements are realized at the very highest level. Conventional materials, such as steel and aluminum, make way for modern fiber composites. As a responsible company, we are continuously working on, optimizing our CO2 footprint in the long term. We have already successfully implemented many measurable improvements for you. The future can come.

The SAERTEX vision – „Innovation for a resource-saving future“ – underlines our ambition to become a little more sustainable every day. We have already achieved many things and even more are in the making. The following examples show how sustainability is lived at SAERTEX.

Innovation Siegel

ESTABLISHED RECYCLING PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION RESIDUES

We take care about recycling, so our residual fibers and fabrics of our production processes are put to good use. For example, our residual material is turned into fuel tank caps, rear parcel shelves, side panels for cars – and much more.

PART OF THE GLOBAL ENERGY TRANSITION

SAERTEX materials are used in the rotor blades of wind turbines where maximum strength – yet lightweight construction – is required. Learn more about our new products e.g. SAERfoam® for Wind that bring efficiency into the generation of renewable energy.

ENABLING SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY CONCEPTS – WITH NEW MATERIALS & COOPERATIONS

SAERTEX fabrics are used to reduce weight in lightweight parts for all kind of vehicles. New in 2022: our partnership with PONTIS ENGINEERING for last mile delivery vehicles.

REGIONAL SOURCING WITH SAERTEX – NOW ALSO IN MEXICO

At the end of 2021, SAERTEX opened location No. 16 in Mexico. We now produce in 11 countries and the majority of our raw materials are sourced regionally.

ISO 14001 AND ECOVADIS CERTIFIED

Our environmental management has been certified by Ökoprofit since 2009. With certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 in 2022, our sustainable processes are now transparent and comprehensible for our customers worldwide. This is further underlined by the EcoVadis Bronze Medal we received in 2024.

BIO-BASED: NON-CRIMP FABRICS OUT OF BASALT OR FLAX FIBERS

The use of bio-based fibers is part of our product range. Ask us for references. New: our cooperation with Terre de Lin in the field of flax fibers.
